About

You’re in the right place if you’re looking for a roadmap to:

- Creating passive income
- Living life on your own terms
- Becoming financially free

Tal_Sharp_SmallHi, my name is Tal Gur, founder of Passively Free.

While sitting on a northern Brazilian beach a few years ago, it hit me for the first time that I’m truly financially free.

This new freedom meant that I didn’t need to look for a job upon my return to my home country. In fact, I didn’t even have to go back home. I could choose to go wherever and do whatever I wanted to on any given day.

Ever since then, people have constantly asked me how I did it. Everyone seems to want to know how to make money online, whether it’s to supplement his or her current income or to replace it completely.

That is the main reason I decided to put together this website based on my own experience as a successful online entrepreneur of over ten years, and those of other freedom-seekers who live these incredible lifestyles.

It does not matter if you’ve already started or just beginning – there is enough inspiration here that will help anyone.

What this website will not do is promise you riches beyond your wildest dreams and a pie in the sky without you having to lift a finger.

The road to financial freedom is a journey, an ongoing process that takes time, hard work, and sacrifice.

I know you do not have a lot of time, and I know you are very busy, but if you join my free email series, I will find a way to motivate you to finally take action and go after the life you want.

Yes, it might take some time, but you can do it.

You don’t need to be a millionaire to achieve freedom. For most people a few hundred dollars each month, earned passively, can make a world of difference.

You are smart enough, and you deserve more freedom. We were not designed to be a cog on a never-ending work wheel.

With this in mind, come and join other freedom seekers and start your own journey towards earning passive income online.

Why Passively Free?

For many of us, work is something that has to be done, something that must be grimly endured. Work is largely seen as a means to an end, offering no other reward.

I was there myself. I still remember my first day in that tiny cubicle, spending hours in front of a monitor, being extremely dissatisfied with the life society expected me to lead.

It was a limited reality. My job determined where I lived, how much money I earned, and what kind of lifestyle I could have.

Deep down inside I was screaming for more freedom and a more meaningful life.

I knew I needed to do something else, I knew I needed to create my own circumstances.

So I took the plunge and started to work on building multiple streams of passive income online.

Fast forward to today and this new passive income that I have created is allowing me to live a life of complete liberty.

From my experience, when you reach the place in your life where you do not need to work, a surprising and wonderful thing happens:

You WANT to work.

And the difference between the two words, “need” and “want” is quite remarkable;

It’s the difference between fear and love – The fear of not being able to survive without a paycheck, compared to the love of doing what you want to do, no matter whether you are paid or not.

I truly believe that work should not be something you have to endure around the clock, but something you enjoy and want to do.

You should be able to create a business that fulfills the life you want, not the other way around.

Your job should not determine your life.

Trading time for money has become so common in our society that it seems the only way to live life. We have been conditioned to believe this is the safest way to earn a living, meanwhile are you really living?

The choice is yours. Either be the victim of circumstances, or grab the bull by the horns and actually try things out for yourself.

The main message I want to leave you with today is this:

Don’t give up on freedom.

Your life doesn’t need to be subordinate to work – you can start enjoying the fruits of your labors now.

The whole idea of working hard 40+ hours a week for more than 40 years is something of the past.

My goal with this site is to help as many people as possible to find freedom and fulfillment in what they do.

Join my free email series and get motivated to embark on your own financial freedom journey.

The Passively Free Model

Creating freedom is not just about generating more income – this is only one part of the game. In addition to building online income streams, you also want to reduce your expenses so you can invest the difference back in your online business.

The following diagram explains this and shows the evolutionary steps that have to be taken:

About Me

Realizing big dreams is my lifelong passion and a personal mission for the last 10 years. I’ve spent the last decade or so pursuing big audacious goals – sometimes I failed, sometimes I succeed, but always, I learned.

Here are a few of those goals:

  • I created financial freedom in one year after being in $34,000 of debt
  • I completed an Ironman Triathlon in New Zealand after quitting smoking
  • I quit my 9-to-5 desk job and went on an independent 18 months RTW trip
  • I built a new home for a family who lost everything in a mudslide in Peru
  • I tried a little 10 days Vipassana meditation in India
  • I met my wife to be while traveling in South America
  • I partied for 60 nights in a row while living in Australia
  • I helped building a school for a poor village in Dominican Republic
  • I surfed around the world in places such as Brazil, Costa Rica, Peru, and Sri Lanka
  • I learned how to become a Muay Thai Kickboxing fighter in Thailand
  • I completed a 12,000 km journey around Australia cutting through the outback
  • I volunteered in an international Autism treatment center for 7 weeks
  • I traveled by train and backpacked across Europe for cheap
  • I rode a motorcycle through the Swiss Alps
  • I trekked the highest mountains on earth & reached Everest Base Camp in Nepal
  • I moved to Australia to complete my Masters degree
  • I built a company from scratch & served as a director of an international company
  • I celebrated carnival in Brazil, both in Rio de Janeiro & Salvador da Bahia
  • I spent a summer in Argentina and learned Spanish in Buenos Aires
  • I designed and built my own Goal-setting software, now available online to anyone with an internet connection
  •
Reading through this list can falsely lead you to believe that my life was all rosy. Trust me, I had my share of struggles as well. If I were to make a list of all my disappointments, I’d never get to the end :)

My main point is that we have an incredible chance here on this planet, to create beautiful things, a real opportunity to live life to its fullest. But we can only accomplish this if we push ourselves far beyond our comfort zones, face our greatest fears, and take the risks involved in pursuing that which we truly want.

Live Life On Your Own Terms!

P.S. Financial Freedom is not about ending work and doing nothing. It’s about using your new freedom to create a life you are so passionate and excited about that you can’t wait to wake up in the morning. Rather than planning to retire from work, do work that is so rich and fulfilling that you never want to retire from it… Why retire from something you love anyway?
